Connecting Your First Data Source
Every report starts with a connected data source. This walks through what to expect the first time you link a client’s account.
Before You Connect
- Know which platforms this client actually needs reported on — organic social, paid social, website analytics, or programmatic/display. You don’t have to connect everything on day one.
- Have login access or admin permission for the accounts you’re connecting. Most platforms require you to authorize Panamplify directly through that platform’s own permission screen, not through a shared password.
- If the client runs campaigns through a third-party platform (for example, a programmatic desk or a media-buying tool), confirm ahead of time whether that platform exposes full metrics through its API — some do not expose every field. See Understanding Platform Data Limitations before you build a report that depends on one of those fields.
Connecting an Account
- From your workspace, add a new client and choose the platform you want to connect first.
- You’ll be sent through that platform’s own authorization flow — this is standard OAuth, the same process you’d use to connect any third-party reporting tool. Panamplify never asks for your client’s platform password directly.
- Once authorized, Panamplify pulls a recent window of data and runs its scan-and-infer step to propose a starting report structure.
- Repeat for each additional platform this client needs.
What “Standard Connectors” Means
Every plan includes Panamplify’s full library of standard connectors — organic and paid social, website analytics, and the major programmatic and display platforms. See Supported Platforms & Data Sources for the current list. If a client runs on a platform that isn’t yet supported, contact us — custom connector development is available on select plans.
If a Connection Doesn’t Look Right
Authorization tokens can expire, especially on platforms with strict session policies — if data suddenly stops updating for an account that used to sync fine, re-authorizing the connection is usually the fix. See My Report Numbers Look Off for a fuller troubleshooting checklist.
